When you launch SnapNotes by double-clicking on the SnapNotes finder icon it will always start with a new, empty notefile. If you type anything and store it, SnapNotes will ask for a name for this new notefile and then save it on your harddrive.

If you launch SnapNotes by doubleclicking on a notefile it will start up with that notefile. You may also drag a notefile to SnapNotes finder icon. |
If you wish to change the notefile you're working on while SnapNotes is running, just drag that notefile to SnapNotes main window. SnapNotes will save the current notefile and open the one you requested.
By using this simple and logic drag & drop procedure for opening notefiles, there is no need for a File menu in SnapNotes.
